Likes do not pay the rent: measure the path to money

Reach matters only when you can follow its path to a conversation, booking, order, or deposit.

Likes do not pay the rent: measure the path to money
Photography: the Salesio team.

A post can earn many likes and still leave the business unchanged. The problem is not the metric; it is mistaking an intermediate signal for the final outcome. Reach, views, and clicks describe attention. Bookings, orders, and deposits describe economic action.

Every metric answers a question

Reach asks how many people could see you. A click asks who had enough interest to continue. A booking or purchase asks who accepted the offer. None is useless, but they belong in a sequence—not a trophy cabinet.

Celebrate attention, but make decisions with conversion and money you can prove.

Design attribution before publishing

Use a campaign-specific link, page, or code. Keep the offer consistent from message to checkout. If the objective and promotion change halfway through, you will not know what created the outcome.

Measure what Salesio can actually see

For service businesses, Salesio can attribute deposits processed through Stripe, not the entire payment completed in person. A useful report must say exactly what money it counts. Trustworthy analytics matter more than an inflated number.

Your minimum dashboard

  1. 1Reach for visibility.
  2. 2Clicks or conversations for intent.
  3. 3Bookings or orders for conversion.
  4. 4Attributed deposits for proven money.

Celebrate attention, but make decisions with conversion and money you can prove.
